This adapter can be used to convert any 6-pin power supply PCI Express cable to a standard 4-Pin 12V ATX cable. This adapter only transfers the 12V source. This adapter is handy for many of the new server boards that require 4-pin, 8-pin and 24-pin to run. Since most PSU’s only have an 8 or 4-pin this adapter can change the PCI Express cable (if your PSU has this) to 4-pin 12V. Can be used for boards like the Supermicro H8DCi and H8DC8 (opteron 940 boards). This adapter is NOT to be used with 6-pin Server AUX connector cables! Cable is 12 inches long.
